About the event
This intimate, challenging and celebratory weekend created by Larry Gilman and Trish Brydon, led by Larry Gilman and Jill Kennedy is designed exclusively for graduates of The Mastery of Self Expression to examine the places where you still hold back, where certainty has replaced curiosity, and where old patterns continue to shape your experience.
The Next Step calls you to move beyond what you know and into what is possible. This workshop fosters a deepening relationship with yourself, others, and life itself.
You'll walk away with clarity and a roadmap to your most glorious life goals.

A minimum of three months since completing The Mastery of Self Expression Workshop

This workshop invites you to engage fully, participate courageously, and explore what becomes possible when you move beyond what is known. You may find yourself questioning long-held assumptions, taking creative risks, seeing yourself from a new perspective, and discovering strengths you did not know you possessed.
Most importantly, you will have the opportunity to define and embrace your own next step—from wherever you are right now.
Logistics
The Next Step workshop is held at RAW Camera Studios in Burnaby, BC, Canada (a suburb of Vancouver).
It begins at 6:00 pm on Thursday, December 3rd and ends on Sunday, December 6th around midnight.
The workshop includes prep and follow-up work, and also includes a facilitated follow-up likely in February or March 2027 (dates still to be confirmed) with a Zoom option for participants from out of town.
To register, you must be a Mastery Grad, and the December 2026 dates must be at least 3 months after your initial Mastery.
The maximum number of participants is 14. A minimum of 12 people registered by September 12, 2026 is required.
Preparation Requirements
Imagine the day before the workshop is your last. Write a 3-5 minute piece (max. 5 minutes) about you and your life (akin to a eulogy) – to be read at the start of the workshop. Use this as an opportunity to investigate your life, flesh out your core being and essence and to make a lasting impression. Be honest.
Bring with you something that represents you now – a symbol or metaphor of who you are—to share with the group as part of the above piece. This might be an object, a picture, a piece of music (could be played in the background), or...?
Prepare a risky, creatively exposing piece of 3-4 minutes (max. 4 minutes) to be performed for us. This could be a monologue, a song, a dance, or? – you decide. You will identify and tell us what the risk is and why it is a risk for you (briefly - 1 minute or less - as part of the 5 minutes) then do your piece. It’s your opportunity to play at 100%. No audience participation. You may use props, music and/or costumes if you wish, if they up the risk for you.

Refund and Transfer Policy
Policy: No refunds or transfers.
Substitutions: If you have paid in full but are unable to attend, you may find a substitute participant.
The substitute must have completed the Mastery workshop at least 3 months prior.
The substitute must complete all preparatory work in time to participate fully.
